Microsoft AI Bounty Why is the tech giant offering $15000 to find a Bug?

Microsoft has announced the AI Big Bounty Program to encourage researchers to help and find bugs in  its AI  Powered Platform - Bing.

What is it?

“The Microsoft AI bounty programme invites security researchers from across the globe to discover vulnerabilities in the new, innovative, AI-powered Bing experience. Qualified submissions are eligible for bounty rewards from $2,000 to $15,000,”  Microsoft Blog

Microsoft Says

Bugs can be submitted for the following products 1) AI-powered Bing experiences on bing.com in Browser 2) AI-powered Bing integration in Microsoft Edge (Swipe)

Bugs to Submit

3) AI-powered Bing integration in the Microsoft Start Application (iOS and Android) 4) AI-powered Bing integration in the Microsoft Start Application (iOS and Android)

Bugs to Submit

1) Bug must be new to Microsoft 2) Must be critical or important severity as defined by the “Microsoft Vulnerability Severity Classification for AI Systems. 3) Should be reproducible on the latest, fully patched version of the product or service (Swipe).

Rules

4) Also provide specific steps to recreate the bug. 5) Applicants must be at least 14 years old and have permission from a legal guardian if they are minors.
